30 Days of Love… 10 Years of Faith: Day 1 – Lovin’ from the Oven?
Today we begin the countdown to our 10th Birthday for our church, November 17! Ten years of memories and laughter, celebration and praise, highs and lows and opportunities to love others!
With any milestone, one can reflect and rediscover lessons to become more… especially in our faith! Today, FaithSpring begins “30 Days of Love” to renew our love for God and others, examining how we show that love and why. Every day we will share an action item, challenge, or need that requires us to Love! There will be incentives, videos and devotions along the way, each aimed to help us focus on loving God and others: Sharing, Serving, Giving and Telling.
“We love because Christ first loved us.” – 1 John 4:19
Today is an easy warm-up challenge in serving! FaithSpring’s newly formed “Good Neighbors” are kickstarting our countdown today with our Thanksgiving Dinner baskets for underserved families of Mabelvale Elementary School. Each Sunday through November 17, we will be collecting specific non-perishable food items for these children and their families!
Are you a “behind the scenes” person? Hit the grocery store! We need Stovetop Stuffing and Corn Muffin mixes! Are you a go-getter? Shoot a text to your neighbors and friends (or tag them in the comments below!)! Offer to pick up any stuffing and muffin mix from them… and invite them to church tomorrow at FaithSpring!
Here we go with our goal for this first challenge (and we need these at 10:30am tomorrow, October 13): together we want to collect muffin mix and stuffing mix! Bring it to FaithSpring. This is super easy challenge to begin thirty days of love. We can do this!
